Chairman's Message: –

The Search for finding the real meaning and purpose of this form of (human) life never ends. One may epitomize thousands of answers, yet he is not fully satisfied. And the search goes on and on.
We have been taught and repeatedly reminded that 'each of us is indebted to the society and we must try to pay back this debt in whatever way possible'. We have heard from Lord Ramakrishna about the zeal of 'kathbirali' (squirrels) who offered their services to Sri Ramachandra for recapturing Sita from Lanka…… The choices are unlimited as to which way one can think of paying back this 'debt' to the society.
This life is short and uncertain. Time is running out. So why not wake up right now? The teachings of Thakur Sri Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda provide enough inspiration towards service and sacrifice for those who needed most. We, the small creatures, can only think of a small beginning.
Our feelings are for those helpless students from rural areas, who although quite capable, cannot think of pursuing studies in a good institution (which are mostly located in the cities) due to abject poverty. Our desire is to provide Student Hostel to a few of them under the same roof in Ramkrishna Vivekananda Trust, a registered Trust, which runs a school from Pre Primary to XII Class under the affiliation of ICSE Board in its own premises, feed them and provide them best education. They will be told that after getting gainfully established in life, each of them must support at least one of his younger brothers residing in this 'Residential Hostel'. If some of them perform their duty, the 'Hostel' will continue to serve in the years to come, evenwhen we are no more on this earth.
There is no dearth of kind-hearted people/organizations/institutions/ companies ready to join hands in this venture. Responses are overwhelming. The thought of this 'Residential Hostel' has already appealed too many of our brothers in the society.
Village Samta in Bagnan of block Shyampur-II in Howrah district is the ideal place for this 'home'. A residential plot of the size One Acre is already been existing and there is sufficient land for construction of the Hostel where poor and deserving students will be given free shelter, food and all other facilities.
We are sincerely hopeful that by the benevolent gesture of numerous kind-hearted people, voluntary help both in the form of cash and kind will now be forthcoming for completing the construction of the home. We make a fervent appeal to everybody.
